1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using TrustEvero ("the Platform", "we", "us", "our") at trustevero.co.uk, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use the Platform.
These Terms and Conditions apply to all users of the Platform, including homeowners submitting quote requests ("Homeowners") and tradespeople or professionals listing their services ("Professionals").
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Your continued use of the Platform after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
3. User Responsibilities
All users of the Platform agree to:
- Provide accurate and truthful information when registering and using the Platform
- Keep account credentials confidential and not share them with others
- Notify TrustEvero immediately at support@trustevero.co.uk if you suspect unauthorised access to your account
- Use the Platform only for lawful purposes in accordance with these Terms
- Not misrepresent your identity, qualifications, or the services you offer
- Treat other users with respect and professionalism
Homeowners are responsible for accurately describing their requirements when submitting quote requests and for making informed decisions when selecting a Professional.
Professionals are responsible for ensuring their profiles, credentials, and availability are accurate and up to date. It is the Professional's responsibility to ensure they hold appropriate qualifications, insurance, and licences required to carry out any work they accept.
4. Verification Limitations
TrustEvero carries out verification checks on Professionals as part of the onboarding process. These checks include review of submitted identification documents, business information, and insurance documentation. Verification badges displayed on profiles reflect the outcome of these reviews.
However, TrustEvero does not guarantee or warrant that:
- Any verified Professional will deliver satisfactory work
- The information submitted by Professionals is completely accurate
- Professionals maintain valid insurance or qualifications at all times after initial verification
- Verification eliminates all risk associated with hiring a tradesperson
Verification checks are a risk-reduction measure only. Homeowners are encouraged to independently review a Professional's profile, reviews, and qualifications before engaging their services.
TrustEvero accepts no liability for any loss, damage, or injury arising from work carried out by any Professional found through the Platform.
5. Professional Obligations
Professionals registered on TrustEvero agree to:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date verification documentation, including valid insurance
- Notify TrustEvero promptly if any submitted documentation expires or becomes invalid
- Honour commitments made to Homeowners through the Platform
- Not request payment by methods designed to circumvent the Platform
- Not conduct themselves in a manner that damages the reputation of TrustEvero
- Maintain an active subscription (where applicable) to access full Professional features
TrustEvero reserves the right to suspend or remove a Professional's profile at any time if it reasonably believes the Professional has breached these obligations or acted in a manner detrimental to Homeowners or other users.
6. Subscription & Payments
Professionals on TrustEvero may be required to hold an active subscription to access full platform features. Subscriptions are processed via Stripe and are subject to Stripe's terms of service.
Subscription fees are charged on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, depending on the plan chosen). Fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable UK consumer law or as expressly stated in your subscription confirmation.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal accessible from your Professional dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will continue to have access to paid features until that date.
TrustEvero reserves the right to change subscription prices. We will provide at least 30 days' notice of any price changes to affected subscribers.
Homeowners use TrustEvero free of charge for the purpose of submitting quote requests and communicating with Professionals.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Platform only for its intended purpose — connecting Homeowners with trade services — and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Acceptable uses include:
- Submitting genuine quote requests for home improvement or repair work
- Listing your trade services as a verified Professional
- Communicating with other users through the Platform's messaging system
- Leaving honest reviews following completed work
- Managing your account and subscription settings
You must not use the Platform in any way that violates these Terms, applicable law, or causes harm to other users.
8. Prohibited Activity
The following activities are strictly prohibited on TrustEvero:
- Submitting false or misleading quote requests or reviews
- Impersonating another person or entity
- Attempting to solicit other users' contact details to conduct business outside the Platform in a manner designed to avoid Platform policies
- Uploading fraudulent, falsified, or misleading verification documents
- Scraping, crawling, or otherwise extracting data from the Platform without permission
- Attempting to gain unauthorised access to any user's account or to the Platform's systems
- Using the Platform to distribute spam or unsolicited commercial communications
- Conducting any activity that could damage, disrupt, or place an unreasonable burden on the Platform's infrastructure
- Engaging in any conduct that could harm TrustEvero's reputation or its users
Breach of these prohibitions may result in immediate account suspension and may be reported to relevant authorities.
9. Account Suspension & Termination
TrustEvero reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or permanently terminate any user account at its sole discretion, including where:
- A user has breached these Terms or our Acceptable Use policy
- False or fraudulent information has been provided
- A Professional's verification documents are found to be invalid or have expired
- Complaints are received from other users that are substantiated following investigation
- We have reason to believe the account is being used for unlawful purposes
In most cases, we will notify you of the reason for any suspension. However, we reserve the right to act without prior notice where required to protect other users or the integrity of the Platform.
You may appeal a suspension decision by contacting support@trustevero.co.uk.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable UK law, TrustEvero shall not be liable for:
- Any loss or damage arising from a Homeowner's engagement with a Professional found through the Platform
- Defects in workmanship, property damage, personal injury, or financial loss caused by a Professional
- Any indirect, consequential, incidental, or special damages arising from your use of the Platform
- Any loss of data, revenue, or business opportunity
- The accuracy, completeness, or availability of user-generated content, profiles, or reviews
TrustEvero's total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to your use of the Platform shall not exceed the amount you paid to TrustEvero (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits TrustEvero's liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.
11. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless you are a consumer resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in which case you may bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
12. Changes to These Terms
TrustEvero may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in the law, our services, or our practices. We will notify you of material changes by email to the address associated with your account.
Minor or non-material changes may be made without notice. The current version of these Terms will always be available at trustevero.co.uk/terms.
Your continued use of the Platform after notification of changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
